We've arrived!

It's been a while, so much to catch up on. But for now we'll give you a quick update on the move. We arrived in California early last week and have been busy cleaning, unpacking, and trying to organize since then. The picture above is where we are living. There are good things about it, and some not-as-good things about it, but we are definitely loving having more room and GRASS! Bridget is finding tremendous pleasure in walking on the grass. The weather has been lovely so we've spent quite a bit of time outside.

All is well with Matthew's job. He likes it and tonight told me that every person he has met within the company has been really nice. His commute is approximately two minutes, which we LOVE!!! Much better than the 30+ one in Arizona. He's come home for lunch every day which is such a treat for us. So, due to the fact that Bridget's bedtime has been adjusted to CA time and her morning wake-up time is still (sadly) on AZ time, we're all eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner together where we used to eat just dinner with Matthew. We're going to have to have more kids to spread the food-blessing-saying around.

Oh, the night after we arrived in California we got a warm-California-welcome with an earthquake. Matthew and I were in the kitchen unpacking when things started rattling and the ground started shifting. I looked at Matthew and said "Earthquake!" Immediately after it ended I started rambling about how I wanted to move back to Arizona and how we shouldn't live here... Ü And then at church a few days later the talks were on preparedness. Oh the joys.

Yay for grass! I'm so happy to have an update from you. Your house looks so cute and I love that you get to see your hubby more. Now you just need to find a good OB/GYN, right? Sorry about the earthquake scare. I experienced a small one in central Utah, so there's no perfect place, I guess. Except maybe Abilene. :)
