Yesterday while I was in the checkout line at the grocery store, Bridget was in a very giggly and playful mood (she was in her car seat which was in the cart). She just kept laughing and laughing and was squealing with delight, the man behind me in line said, "Oh, someone is Mr. Happy today!" I hardly even glanced at him and mumbled a "Mmmm, hmmmm." Okay, MR. Happy??? Let me point out that the top picture was taken yesterday - she was wearing a bright pink shirt and a skirt!
This is not the first time this has happened. The night before we were out for a walk and Matthew had Bridget in the bjorn when the manager of our complex passed us and said "Oh, he is so beautiful!" Perhaps he's so beautiful because he is a she?
The above pictures have been taken in just the past two or three weeks on days people have commented on my cute little boy. Note the "Daddy's Little Princess" bib. Really I'm not offended at all, I guess I just find it baffling they think she's a boy when she's dressed so girlie!

This happened to me with my boys too. I mean, its unmistakable that they are boy since they are dressed head to toe in blue and trucks etc. But people still would ask "is it a boy or a girl?" or "you have such a lovely little girl." its so hilarious.
same here-- apparently pink is the new blue. savanna is mistaken for a boy A LOT.
take comfort though (cause you were worried): Bridget is a freaking cute little girl!
It happened to me too!! I remember taking Isabel to the counseling center just after she was born to show her off. She was dressed head to toe in pink and had on a pink hat and blanket and Irene came over and said "Oh what a cute little boy!" I guess all the pink didn't give her a clue!!
hahahaha!!! Funny!!! People are funny, aren't they? We get that with Jackson a lot and seriously, one of these days I'm going to ask the question... "seriously? what part of blue, bulldozers and dumptrucks makes you think this is a girl?" would you rather...
Glad to hear we're not the only ones who have a "girly" girl often mistaken for a boy! Oh, I'm still laughing at the "Mr. Happy" comment! Really, what's wrong with people??? Since when do frilly socks, pink shirts and enormous bows scream "I'm a boy!"???? Bridget is soooooo cute!
Yep...it happens all the time. Don't quite get it either!!! :)
