Here's the cockroach I stepped on. The picture doesn't even do its size justice. After I stepped on it on the sidewalk I just left it there. I wasn't about to move it anywhere! The next morning the sprinklers came on and must have reconstituted it, because suddenly it looked alive and non-squished and scared me THREE times that day as I came down the stairs or around the corner. You would think I would have remembered after the first time! But it looked very alive so I couldn't help but be scared. Finally on Saturday Matthew got a paper towel and disposed of it. Thank goodness for husbands!!!
