All of the sudden I blinked...and it's been four months since my last post. How in the world did that happen? Of course there's too much to post to fully catch up on the last four months, so I'll just post a few pictures and make it brief. Not that anyone will be checking this anymore since I haven't written for a while, but for the occasional visitor, here's an update.
We are doing well. I told my mom the other day that I just want to hit the "pause" button for a while. The girls are both at such fun stages, and are both so happy, so "easy," and so fun to be around. The girls love each other and love to giggle with each other. We just hug and love and play and sing and and laugh and dance all day. The past few days Bridget has started to display more of her independence (a.k.a. "stubbornness"), so I fear someone "unpaused" time, but the past while has been so enjoyable. Whitney is an incredibly happy baby and I still just want to snuggle her all day. Bridget is HILARIOUS. She just keeps me laughing at the things she comes up with. She has finally started looking at the camera for pictures, and even smiling sometimes! So I have a few good ones to share.
We have been busy, busy, busy this summer looking for a home. NOT a buyer's market in this area in case you are wondering. TONS of short sales, which are impossible. We seriously have put in 15-20 offers, almost every single one above asking price, some even $15,000 over asking price, and nothing...until this past week. Now we have two possibilities. I think we've ruled one out, and we don't LOVE the other one, but we may take it (if the bank does the official sign off in a few weeks). But, we'll see. We're going to keep looking for a few weeks and well, we'll just see how things go. We're not holding our breath, so don't hold yours. But do keep praying that we'll find a house so you can come visit. Ü
This is what independence is all about! Picking out what I want to wear for the day - my "swimming soup," the plastic swimming pants (size 12 months) OVER the suit, and my sunday shoes. She is OBSESSED with these shoes and wears them non-stop - in the house and out of the house. She usually has them on the wrong feet, which I think is adorable and drives Matthew nuts (only because he thinks it must be terribly uncomfortable).
I want to nibble those cheeks all day!
Nummy!!! She also loves to suck on Bridget's white sunday shoes, while Bridget is wearing them. Bridget actually likes having Whitney suck on her shoes, and has been known to take Whitney's toys away and put her shoe in Whitney's face to get her to suck on it. Whitney doesn't mind one bit. Mommy does.
