Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!! We hope you all know how much we love you. This morning Bridget and I took Valentine's cookies to Matthew's work and this afternoon we're going to make individual-sized heart-shaped meatloaf for dinner.
When I was little my family would always hold a dinner-dance the Monday night before V-day. There are three girls and five boys in my family (siblings), so all the girls would go in one room and all the boys would go in another. Then one girl would walk out of the room at the same time one boy would walk out of their room, and that would be your "date" for the night. Since there were more boys than girls, we would use two brooms for the other dates. My parents would make some sort of love/heart-themed dinner (such as heart-shaped meatloaf), and then they would be our waiter and waitress during dinner. Then we would have a dance in the family room. Sadly, the two brooms were in higher demand as dance partners than we girls!!! Ü I have such fond and happy memories of this tradition! Perhaps we will hold a dinner-dance tonight. Bridget can dance with daddy and I will dance with...the broom.

She is so absolutely ADORABLE. I'm so glad you're sharing!
I forgot about that tradition...mom probably did it as an excuse to break out her dumb and dumber dance moves every year. By the way, I'm so jealous of Mom and Matt getting to go visit...I want to see you guys so bad, I really want to be in 70 degree weather so bad too...:) Some day we'll come down and visit.
Oh yeah...and Bridget is getting so cute! She looks a lot like you Juls.
