First Day of Swimming Lessons

Today was Bridget's first day of "swimming lessons." We're taking them with my friend Melissa whose little girl is a week older than Bridget. The class....well....let's just say we're glad it only cost $2 for the two week session. Or maybe we should say, as Matthew always reminds me, "You get what you pay for..."

It definitely was fun to be there with Melissa, but we could have stayed home and gone to our own pools and not missed out on anything because the instructor didn't really do much. Not that I expected my baby to be doing the breast stroke by the end of the two weeks, but we did expect the instructor to do more in 25 minutes than to tell us twice how to hold our babies and once to put their faces in the water "if we want to." Both of the girls were really good in the pool and very comfortable in the water. Mikalynn liked to open her mouth every time Melissa tried to put her under, so I'm sure she got a healthy dose of public pool water. Yum, yum!!!

We're going to give the lessons another day or two to get better, and if not, we'll hold our own swimming lessons at home and not spend $2.35 in gas to get there. Ü

Cute pictures of your swimming adventures. Isn't it fun to take your baby in the pool. When we take London, she just floats she's so chubby. I also really like your family pictures you took in Springville. You are a beautiful family.
Love, Amy

um - easy on the cost to get there being more expensive than the entire class.
