Happy Anniversary!!!

Today is our second anniversary. I can't believe it's been two years already! It's gone by so quickly and yet I can't imagine what life was like before Matthew. Without getting too sappy, I feel so grateful to have married such a wonderful man, and someone who I can truly say is my best friend. We've had a great time together and I know it will just keep getting better.

We celebrated our anniversary by going on our first real date since Bridget was born. A woman in our ward watched her (Bridget's first time with a babysitter!), and Bridget, the babysitter, Matthew, and I all survived the experience. We've grown quite accustomed to her being our constant companion I guess because we both missed her terribly. But, it was also VERY nice to have time for just the two of us. I am pleased to announce that I beat Matthew quite soundly in miniature golf, and as punishment he got to change all the dirty diapers for the rest of the weekend (funny how your "bets" change once you have kids...). I also beat him in our go-kart race, but I'm pretty sure he let me win. Miniature golf, however, I won fair and square...or did I?

Bridget gave us the best anniversary present ever - Saturday night she slept nearly 13 hours without waking up! That's the longest she has EVER gone! The funny/sad thing is Matthew and I both woke up at 6:30 a.m. when she started stirring. I couldn't go back to sleep but Matthew did, so I got up, ate breakfast...waited...waited...convinced she would wake up at any minute...and she didn't get up until 8:45! It was a miracle!
